On Thursday, September 27th, the HANCSM board voted to endorse the San Mateo/Foster City School District Measure V. Since the election many are asking if it passed. The answer is that ballots are still being tallied!
This is an update on the current status of Measure V based on the most recent election data reported on 11/13 :
- Measure V requires a 2/3 majority approval to pass (66.67%), currently there is 65.43% approval, just 1.24 percentage points short of the goal.
- A total of 30,279 ballots from San Mateo and Foster City votes have been tallied, with about 93% voting in favor or opposition to Measure V.
- This is a very high turnout, over 39% of registered voters cast a vote on Measure V (counting all YES and NO votes).
