I love the fair — I love guessing the weight of the cow at the 4-H area ( I actually won a prize last year for getting close), I love taking my kids on the cheesy rides,checking out the exhibits, the vendor demos, eating food on a stick and running into friends.
And its cheaper now if you buy tickets in advance. $3 off admission for anyone over 6 (under 6 doesn’t have to pay), and $9 off a rides bracelet which is a big discount. You can buy tickets now at the West Gate at 25th and Delaware) or go to this site for tickets online or directions to the onsite ticket booth. There’s a processing fee to purchase online
But the best part is you don’t always have to pay to get in! If you’re a kid, a teen, a senior, or just able to get off work early on a Wednesday, you can get in free! Here’s a list of the freebie days:
Kids Day – Monday June 13. 12 and under are free all day
Senior Celebration Day and Sports Day – Tuesday June 14. Seniors Free admission
Free ‘Til 3 – Wednesday June 15, Free admission until 3:00pm
Military Day – Thursday, June 16. Free admission with active military ID
Teen Day – Friday, June 17, Teens 13-19 $5 admission, 12pm-5pm.
